The interpretation of Axept’s signature mismatched style comes to life through asymmetric details and a contrast of black and white, love and hate, acceptance and conflict. But it is precisely in the meeting of these opposing forces that something new is born, a balance shaped by diversity.

The iconic tone-on-tone damask pattern merges with the provocative aesthetic of Simone Fugazzotto, where the monkey, a symbol of social evolution, appears on the heel and the outsole, becoming an integral part of the artwork. Skin tones, too often seen as a reason for division, blend together in a collective embrace that transcends all barriers.

The outsoles visually tell this story: on the right, the primal scream of the monkey in black and white reveals the word “hate” in sharp, powerful contrast. On the left, the word “LOVE” stretches across the sole in pink against black, flipped and bold, as if to say that even in chaos, every step can be an act of love.

The message LOVE RIGHT / LEFT HATE, printed on the tongue labels, becomes an invitation to leave hate behind and walk toward acceptance.

Because in the end, contrasts exist to be understood, transformed, and reconciled. Only in the unity of differences can we find true evolution.
