The Tiles Mismatch marks a new evolution in Axept’s design language, introducing a bolder and instantly recognizable approach to mismatch design. Inspired by traditional Mediterranean majolica tiles, the patterns are reversed between the right and left shoe: taking center stage on the upper of one, while appearing across the straps and details of the other.

Designed in Italy and handcrafted from high-quality genuine leather, the sneaker combines a pattern in shades of blue, ivory, and terracotta with the iconic chunky sole, creating a bold contrast that remains elegant and balanced. The 1.5 cm memory foam insole is designed to provide all-day comfort.

Each pair comes with an additional white lace, allowing you to choose how strongly to emphasize the mismatch and personalize your style. A sneaker designed to stand out without excess, turning difference into character and identity.

THE STORY

Tiles Mismatch reinterprets Yin and Yang as a design principle: two opposites that do not cancel each other out, but instead complement one another. The majolica-inspired pattern shifts position between the two sneakers, alternating across the upper, straps, and details to transform contrast into visual harmony.

This inversion reflects Axept’s philosophy: acceptance does not mean making everything the same, but recognizing the value of every identity and allowing differences to coexist. Just like Yin and Yang, each element retains its own nature while becoming part of something greater.
